Lake County Commission recap, week ending March 13, 2026

This week the Lake County Board of County Commissioners:

• Approved a $360,000 funding agreement with Career Source Central Florida for the Future Ready Lake Program to train residents laid off by Kroger and Ocado.

• Approved a $14,500 purchase agreement with WDL Property Holdings 8 LLC for the Britt Road Repair Project, waiving due diligence to close within thirty days.

• Pulled the public hearing to vacate a portion of a platted right-of-way easement near East Redwing Road and Montevista Road, which would bring in $2,295 in revenue.

• Approved a $27 payment to release the restrictive covenants and mortgage tied to the Okahumpka Community Club, Inc.

• Approved the minutes of the Board's earlier regular or special meetings, as listed in the record.

• Approved a proclamation declaring March 15-21, 2026 as Florida Surveyors and Mappers week.
