Taxes and budgets
What Lake County's governments tax and spend, from the Property Appraiser's millage sheets, the Clerk of Court's budget reconciliation and audited financial statements, and the School Board's published budget files. A mill is $1 of tax per $1,000 of taxable value, so the tables also show the cost per $100,000 of taxable value. The rolled-back rate is the rate that would raise the same property tax revenue as the year before; under Florida law, adopting a rate above it is a tax increase even when the rate number stays the same.
